A Note on the Welsh Culture
The Welsh Brand is personified in the Welsh people themselves. They are unassuming and gently spoken, deeply caring of their own and very welcoming of all who visit them. And they have an infectious passion for, and pride in, their heritage, culture and all that is special about Pembrokeshire and West Wales.
You will see all of these endearing aspects if/when you meet the farmers who work the land around Tregynon Cottages. From local cheese and jam producers, through to the local brewers, shop and tavern owners you will be greeted with genuine warmth.
To hear them talking their native language, or better still having the privilege of hearing them sing their hymns and arias is an experience which will live with you for a long time.
This is Celtic country: so why not visit the many ancient sites redolent of myth and legend. The Stonehenge bluestones came from here: everywhere you will sense the presence of the Neolithic megalith builders, the cairns and stone circles of the Bronze Age and mighty Iron Age hillforts. There are dragons and fairies in those hills!!
We would encourage you to take every opportunity to experience the Welsh brand. And be enriched, enlivened, and uplifted by that experience. Invariably, the effects are lasting.
Can you really say you know Wales and the Welsh unless you’ve experienced up close the pride of this land of legend?
