What Happens After Making Your Cottage Booking

The Tregynon Cottages Experience – At Tregynon Cottages we believe that your holiday experience should be a positive one, from the moment you make an enquiry, or a booking, for anything we have to offer.

At the heart of this is establishing timely, friendly and helpful communications, prior to your arrival. That way, you will know what to expect, where to find us and what to bring.

BEFORE ARRIVAL:

If you have booked through an agency, we will immediately send you a Welcome letter, which contains plenty of information about the area and directions to make your journey easier. The covering email will provide some suggestions about where you might want to pick up food en-route, check-in and departure times etc.

We ask you to acknowledge receipt of the Welcome letter and provide us with an estimate of your arrival time, if you know it, so that we are here to meet you with the key. We are happy to take any questions you might have such as recommendations for local restaurants and even make a booking for you should you wish to eat out on your first night.

If you have provisionally booked through our website enquiry form, rather than through an accommodation booking agency, immediately after you place your provisional booking, we will send you a Provisional Booking letter detailing the price to be paid, confirmation of dates and bank payment details. We will ask for a deposit of 35% at the time of making the booking and then, 6 weeks before your arrival, we will ask you to pay the balance. (If you make a booking less than 6 weeks before your arrival, we will ask you to pay the full amount).

Upon receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your booking and at that time send you our Welcome Letter, which contains plenty of information about the area and directions to make your journey easier. The covering email will provide some suggestions about where you might want to pick up food en-route, check-in and departure times etc.

ON ARRIVAL

We will meet you; the heating will be on if it is cold; and the Welcome Pack (milk, tea, coffee, sugar and a little Welsh extra(!)) will be ready for you in your kitchen. We will either explain all that you need to know there and then, or, depending on your arrival time and journey length, we might just leave you to snuggle down and relax. The explanations can wait until the next day!

The cottages and additional facilities will be ready in all respects for occupancy from 16:00. Guests can arrive at any time on their first day and drop off their luggage if they wish but access to the cottages and additional facilities can only be available from 16:00.

On-Hand Service Throughout the Week: Warm hospitality is what we pride ourselves on. Except, therefore, when otherwise engaged such as conducting guided walks or providing walking skills packages to others, we will be available to answer any questions or provide advice to you at any time.

Our aim will be to ensure that we take the strain while you have the quality holiday you have paid for. We will provide local knowledge and suggestions to supplement the plentiful information already in your cottage. We will provide you with the daily weather forecast if you want us to.

Departing Guests: You are requested to vacate your cottage by no later than 10.00 on the day of departure although you can leave your luggage with us after that time if you wish. Similarly, you can leave your cars in the car park during your day of departure if you wish to get one last walk in!

We do ask that, if you have time, you strip the used beds.

Obviously, we would be delighted to be able to welcome you to Tregynon Cottages at some time but, regardless of whether you decide to use our services or not, we hope you have a great time in Pembrokeshire.
