Hi – transportation! I work with a company called FBM and here is something from them on transportation around Pembrokeshire.

We all want to do our bit for the environment, but it’s simply not that easy sometimes. Whilst we are always told to car share or use public transport sometimes that’s easier said than done! So let FBM Holidays tell you how to get around Pembrokeshire without driving yourself!
By Train – Arriva Trains Wales gets you directly to Pembrokeshire from places like Manchester and Birmingham. The further you book in advance the less you will pay. There are train stations in all the major towns in Pembrokeshire, with request stops in the smaller villages like Manorbier and Penally. If you are travelling from the south of the UK, then the Great Western Line will get you as far as Swansea where you will change to Arriva Trains Wales.
By Bus – Getting around Pembrokeshire has been made much easier with the introduction of the Coastal Bus Services. With great names such as the Puffin Shuttle, Poppit Rocket, Strumble Shuttle, Celtic Coaster, and Coastal Cruiser, the services run up and down the National Park coastline. This means the entire length of the 186 mile (299km) Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail, from St Dogmaels to Amroth, is accessible by public transport. The buses run 7 days a week from May to September and 2 days a week in winter and are perfect for walkers who can plan a day walk on the coast path without the need for two cars. It’s a hail and ride service so just flag the buses down along the coast road and hop on. You can even take dogs and buggies on board too. Other bus services and routes will take you directly between the major towns like Haverfordwest and Pembroke regularly throughout the day.
By Foot – There’s no better way of exploring Pembrokeshire than by foot, get your walking boots on and follow one of the many coastal paths that will take you around our stunning county. There are many local companies that provide walking holidays and will arrange to collect you from your accommodation as part of the deal. Otherwise simply follow the National Park’s clearly marked routes around the area.
By Bike – Pembrokeshire was made for bikes! As long as you aren’t afraid of hills. Many sporting events are purposely held here because of the wonderful scenery you get to take in on our fairly quiet and sometimes challenging roads. But if you can’t bring your own bike we can always arrange cycle hire for you, which can be delivered to your accommodation, so you can explore Pembrokeshire on two wheels.
So getting around Pembrokeshire without driving yourself is hopefully easier than you thought. A good reason to choose Pembrokeshire for your next family holiday.
